The existing kitchen cabinets showed signs of aging, prompting the need for a refresh. Additionally, the original nook space, situated by the bay window, lacked the desired enclosed intimacy and was positioned awkwardly between the kitchen and family room. To address this, we introduced a transformative solution – a built-in bench seamlessly aligned with the bay window, enabling the nook table to be neatly tucked away. This adjustment created space for an elongated island, not only expanding seating capacity but also fostering a more engaging environment between the kitchen and family room, all while offering an inviting view of the backyard.
